Northern Sun – space for luxury

One of the greatest thing about yachting on the open seas, is space. The feeling of limitless, open spaces surrounding you and extending all the way over the horizon. The Northern Sun takes this notion further, offering ample space and unlimited luxury to those on board.

At the length of 50.9m (167ft) Northern Sun is a stranger to cramped spaces. Fitted with a massive master cabin and three double and twin cabins, it can host 12 guests in uncompromised comfort, similar to one offered by a luxury hotel – the difference being that this “hotel” moves forward at the cruising speed of 10.5 knots, allowing you and your friends and family to wake up to a new stunning view every day of the cruise.

And it’s not just the cabins that are spacious. The whole main deck is dedicated to entertainment and leisure. On the outside you will find a row of comfy sunbeds from which you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic vistas over the bow, while indoors a light and airy main saloon awaits neighbored by an entertainment saloon with games table and a piano. No, that’s not all, there is one more saloon which with an open air dining area.

Go down to the lower deck to find a formal dining room and an adjoining library or climb up to the private top deck for a splash in a Jacuzzi, solitude and 360 degrees of panoramic views.

If you feel like exploring the surrounding waters or hopping of board to a nearby shore, Northern Sun offers an array of water-crafts, including a rigid jet tender and a rubber tender (each able to carry 6 passengers and a driver), two laser dinghies, two SeaBobs, five diver propulsion vessels and 9 kayaks, plus diving equipment. All this is more than enough to explore the reach waters surrounding the island of Phuket where the yacht is docked or the undiscovered areas of Burmese (Myanmar) ocean waters for which the Northern Sun is also licensed.

But you might just as well stay on board and enjoy the luxuriant interiors decorated with exotic wood, art and vintage carpets, some dating back to mid XX century.  It’s in those surroundings that you can enjoy the gourmet, chef-made cuisine, a cocktail over a game of chess in one of the saloons, a novel in the library or just gaze at the surrounding scenery you pass by, as you cruise some of the world’s most picturesque waters.
