Traveling for work can be an intense and tiring experience, but this does not always have to be.  Take Lauren Conrad’s business trip to Thailand for example. While in Thailand she took the opportunity to see everything from floating markets to elephant sanctuary’s.  In the end not only did she have a successful business trip but she also had a pleasurable experience filled with soul-inspiring moments.

Lauren is a designer who is constantly in search of artisans that offer original and unique products for a fair trade global shop called “The Little Market” that she shares with her business partner Hannah Skvarla.  They spent the better part of a week traveling throughout Thailand meeting with local crafts people where they enjoyed learning how authentic goods were created.

As cuisine always plays an integral part of a great cultural experience, Lauren has tried plenty of Thai flavors, such as traditional delicacies such as veggie Pad Thai and Pad Seew. She also loved the exotic taste of local coconut and other healthy tropical fruits.

While in Chiang Mai Lauren stopped off at the Elephant Nature Park which hosts not only elephants but also buffalo, dogs, cats, and many other rescued animals. There she made new friends with these magnificent creatures that made for a remarkable and memorable experience.

After Chiang Mai, Lauren and her friend flew to the picturesque island of Koh Samui, where they rebooted their minds and bodies on the tropical beaches and in the turquoise blue sea.
